Name: Mark Miller

Hometown: Fremont, NE

Service Technician

Years at PVE: 5

Mark was born and raised in Fremont before joining the military. He spent six years serving his country in the United States Navy.

After leaving the service, Mark chose Platte Valley Equipment because it was the local shop, a part of the town he grew up in.

“I was born into a family that has generations of farmers,” Mark said. “I’ve been involved in the farming community my whole life.”

The thing that Mark enjoys most about his position as a service technician is the job itself.

“After almost five years, still having this job makes me feel the most successful,” said Mark. “I try to get the farmers going fast, with as little down time as possible.”

Jennifer Greunke, Fremont Store Lead said, “I always enjoy Mark’s honest feedback. He helps bring light to other views and provides valuable feedback that helps benefit the customer, fellow employees, and Platte Valley.”

“Mark is very dedicated to the job he does,” said Pat Arnold, Fremont Service Manager. “He will stick to it to the end no matter what the task is. Mark is a very loyal and valuable asset to the company and keeps up with all aspects of his job. He’s always willing to give a lending hand to the next guy.”

Mark’s favorite thing about Platte Valley is the people – both the customers he serves and the coworkers he serves with.

"The people,” Mark said. “They make Platte Valley.”

Outside of work, Mark likes to watch Oklahoma football and NASCAR.

Congratulations, Mark, on your nomination as Fremont’s Pride of Platte Valley!
