Growing up in Arlington, Joni was immersed in the ag community from a young age. “It just seems natural,” Joni said. “The culture of the Arlington and Fremont area is so farming based, even living in the city, you feel connected.”
As our Fremont service writer, Joni works with our service department to keep them running smoothly and efficiently. “My role at PVE is entertaining, challenging and rewarding. I get to work directly with the technicians in Fremont and remotely for the Mead techs. I help with their timecards, invoicing, and JD warranty credits/return parts. I will call for new equipment coming into Mead for setup and help as a third string parts runner. I love being kept busy and having fun every day.”
“When I first married my husband of 32 years, I would come in to get parts or toys for our kids. Everyone was always smiling and willing to help with anything. I used to think how nice it would be to work there.”
Joni started at Platte Valley five years ago and has become indispensable.
“Joni is always there to do whatever it is to get the job done with great enthusiasm and a smile on her face,” said Patrick Arnold, Fremont service manager. “She is very detail-oriented to make sure what is being done is followed through from start to finish - no matter what the task may be!”
“When I come to work, it doesn’t feel like work. I get to see my friends, my neighbors, people I’ve known my whole life,” Joni said. “Working here feels like helping a friend.”
“Joni is not only excellent at customer service, but she is also the #1 advocate for our service department’s employees,” said Jennifer Greunke, Fremont store manager. “She is working behind the scenes taking care of details that help our techs provide excellent customer service.”
Joni’s hard work and sense of humor keep herself and those around her preforming at their best. “I expressive talk,” Joni said with a laugh. “So, if you look over at me, I’m always talking with my hands and trying to. And, most importantly, keeping everyone caffeinated.”
Outside of work, Joni enjoys scrapbooking, gardening and Hallmark movies.
