Hard work and determination. These would be two words that could easily describe Tyler Srb and the life he leads, inside and outside of work.

Growing up in Lincoln, Tyler took any chance he could to go out to his grandparent’s farm in the Schuyler-Linwood area. After high school and college, he even ended up moving there to help his grandfather on the farm.

Tyler said, “To see all that he’s done over the last fifty or sixty years – that’s what inspires me the most.” He also noted how hard his grandparents had to work to get to where they are today. Seeing what they accomplished really inspired him to want to go back and do the same, if not more.

Tyler joined Platte Valley Equipment, nearly 5 years ago, as a truck driver. From day one, his goal was to build a career serving customers.

In five short years, he’s done just that.

From driving truck and delivering equipment to helping customers find the right part at the right price both at the parts counter and in the field, Tyler has proven his commitment to customers and the company.

Since moving into parts, Tyler has enjoyed interacting and building relationships with his customers. “I’m big on building a relationship that’s going to last a lifetime compared to building one that’s just a transaction,” he said.

Tyler's customers are what keep him going. Every day, his goal is to make sure his customers are satisfied and walk away in a good mood by getting them what they need. "If I can make a customer's day better, that's what I go for," Tyler commented. Tyler is always willing to go the extra mile in order to keep his customers happy.

He simply put it, “I like to be around the customer.”

And now, he’s embarking on a new adventure to be even more connected to the customer… as an Account Manager in Wahoo!

As an Account Manager, Tyler will help customers define and achieve their operational and financial goals.

Rodger Menn, Eastern Division Sales Manager, stated, “We’re excited - he’s going to bring with him a wealth of knowledge from the parts side of the business that will help him jumpstart his career in equipment sales.”

Outside of work, Tyler likes to spend time with his classic cars. You might even ask him about the button accordion when you see him around.

Congratulations on your new role as Account Manager, Tyler!
